Make 2016 The Year You Budget for Your Dental Care
Capitation schemes allow you to budget for the cost of your ongoing dental treatment so that you are not hit with a large bill at your next appointment. Capitation schemes are designed to help you spread the cost of your dental treatment by making monthly payments by direct debit to your dentist or an independent company who will run the scheme. It is possible to have either a maintenance or a comprehensive plan. Costs will vary from dentist to dentist and will depend on the health of your teeth and gums.
A maintenance plan will offer preventative treatment including a set number of examinations, hygiene appointments and x-rays. You may also receive a discount on certain other routine treatments, specialist treatment will be excluded.
A comprehensive plan will offer unlimited dental treatment but may not cover laboratory fees and other specialist treatments. You will need to ensure that you have no outstanding dental treatment prior to joining this kind of plan.
Here at The Essex Smile Centre we are able to offer Denplan monthly payment plans. Denplan was founded in 1986 by two dentists who wanted to offer their patients an alternative to NHS dentistry. They created a system that simplified administration within the dental practice and allowed dentists to spend more time with their patients, focusing on preventive oral healthcare and providing high quality treatment.
Since this time Denplan have launched a number of different products including Denplan Care, Denplan Essentials, Denplan Membership and Plans for Children.
Now Denplan employs over 300 people, is the UK’s leading dental payment plan specialist with over 6,500 member dentists and approximately 1.8 million patients. The key focus of all Denplan Plans is to ensure that patients receive the best possible preventative dental care.
At The Essex Smile Centre we offer Denplan Care, Denplan Essentials and Denplan Plans for Children.
Denplan Care
Denplan care is a monthly payment plan based on your current oral health.
Payment is between £18.40 and £48.25 a month and this will cover you for all your routine and preventative dental treatment. This includes hygiene treatments, x-rays, necessary fillings and extractions. You will also receive 50% off any major restorative care from your dentist such as crowns, bridges, dentures and inlays. Denplan care does not cover laboratory fees and prescriptions, any treatment excluded from your contract, referral to a specialist, orthodontics, implants or cosmetic treatment.
