Straight Talking – Invisalign Information Evening
At the Essex Smile Centre we have so much more to offer our patients than just their annual check-up!
Throughout the year we run regular information evenings where both new and existing clients get the chance to come and visit the practice, meet our staff and find out more about some of the key services we offer.
On Tuesday 2nd July we held our ‘Straight Talking – Invisalign Information Evening’ which was a huge success with more than 20 guests in attendance who got the opportunity to learn all about Invisalign, how it works, what the treatment entails and discuss any queries they may have had in a relaxed and informal setting.
Invisalign
Invisalign is a teeth straightening treatment that offers a more subtle, convenient and discrete alternative to the traditional ‘train track’ metal braces some patients wouldn’t want to undergo.
The Invisalign treatment involves sets of clear, removable aligners that are custom-made to each individual patient to slowly move teeth in a sequence determined by the dentist.
The clear, retainer style braces are almost invisible and allow patients to go about their everyday lives and can be taken out quickly and discretely at any time to eat or clean.
The Event
Held at our bright and modern practice, centrally located on Rayleigh High Street – the event was led by brothers Doctor Declan and Stephen Keane – who took over the family run practice over 15 years ago from their father. Both Declan and Stephen along with their dedicated team are committed to providing all patients with unrivalled dental care using the latest dental technology and techniques.
‘Bracing himself’ to take the floor was Dr Declan Keane who kicked off the evening with a helpful 20 minute presentation in which attendees were able to learn about how Invisalign works, about the retainers and the straightening process and get a clear visual understanding thanks to animated ClinCheck videos.
Dr Stephen Keane then demonstrates to guests the CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) scanner that is used to take 3D scans of the mouth prior to Invisalign treatment. This state-of-the-art technology is not only minimally invasive for patients but also produces high resolution images of a patient’s mouth with incredibly accurate and detailed images. These can be hugely beneficial during the detection and diagnosis of oral health problems and can improve the accuracy of the treatment plan thanks to the impressive 3D imaging.
Following the presentations clients were able to enjoy some drinks within the informal setting and given the chance to circulate and speak to our friendly dentists and dental nurses who were happy to answer any questions. Several members of our team have undergone Invisalign themselves and ‘tooth be told’ some were even wearing their retainers which meant patients were able to see exactly how they look and gain real insight into how it feels to wear them.
With experts on hand who ‘know the drill’ attendees were free to ask about their own suitability, discuss what is involved, timescales, finance options and any other questions they may have about the Invisalign treatment.
Our Information Evenings
At The Essex Smile Centre our information evenings usually include a financial incentive for those patients who wish to make a treatment booking that evening. On Tuesday, a number of patients who chose to proceed with Invisalign benefitted from up to £500 discount which included a free scan and professional teeth whitening treatment.
Our next event is a ‘dental implant information evening’ which is due to be held in October 2019 – so be sure to keep checking our website or sign up for our newsletter to receive updates.
If you couldn’t make it to our open evening but are still interested to learn more about our Invisalign treatment options then please visit our Invisalign information page or contact us to speak to a member of our friendly team.
