Boost Your Appearance And Your Confidence
As we grow older, we lose the collagen that helps shape and support our skin, making us appear older as natural lines and wrinkles deepen. Some people may also notice further signs of ageing such at the thinning or shrinking of the lips.
Dermal fillers are a safe and effective non-surgical treatment aimed at reducing the effects of ageing to help restore confidence in patients with natural, youthful results.
What are dermal fillers and how do they work?
Dermal fillers are used to help restore skin to its former youthful appearance. The filler material is injected into the areas that need to be plumped up to make them look firmer.
There are several types of fillers that can be used for different applications. Your specialist will help you determine which is best suited to your needs.
Am I a suitable candidate?
Dermal fillers are more commonly performed on patients over 35 who wish to reduce the signs of wrinkles, lines and premature ageing. They are also becoming increasingly popular with adults of all ages – for those seeking a fuller pout and even as an alternative to surgical rhinoplasty to help correct minor bumps and deformities of the nose.
The following issues can be treated with dermal fillers:
– Loss of volume in the cheeks
– Lines around the mouth (smokers’ lines)
– Minor nose deformities such as nasal humps
– Deep nose to mouth lines
– A receding chin
– Thin lips
Fillers are considered very safe – however, they are not advised for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Also, people with acne may be advised to seek treatment to address this first due to an increased risk of infection with these types of conditions.

What does a dermal filler treatment entail?
This will depend on the area being treated and the type of filler that is being used.
All filler treatments involve a series of injections being used on the target area. Depending on the treatment, some areas will only require a couple of injections, whilst others may need multiple doses.
There will likely be some mild discomfort, stinging or burning during treatment. Most treatments last approximately 30 minutes.
How long do dermal fillers last?
The longevity of filler results will depend on the type that is used for your treatment. Some filler, such as Hyaluronic acid, lasts from 6-9 months, Others, such as calcium hydroxyapatite, can last around 18-24 months whilst permanent fillers can produce results of up to 5 years or more.
All results will be dependent on the individual and most fillers will require top up or repeat treatments to maintain results. Your aesthetic specialist will discuss with you the best product for your particular case.
Does the treatment hurt
Regardless of the filler type, most are injected through very fine needles to reduce discomfort.
It is also common practice for the area to be numbed using an anaesthetic cream prior to treatment.
Depending on the type of treatment you are having, and the thickness of the filler involved, this treatment may be a little painful. Thicker fillers, for example, are typically injected at a deeper level and can therefore hurt a little more than thinner ones used for fine lines and wrinkles on the surface levels.
How much do dermal fillers cost?
The cost of dermal fillers is determined by the type of treatment you desire. In an initial consultation we will examine your face, neck and upper chest and explain the various treatment options available.

“Dear Declan, your and Suzanne’s expert but still very relaxing chair-side manner meant I felt in very safe hands for the considerably long periods that I have spent listening to your drill and other devices.
The result is superb and has exceeded my expectations. The veneers look wonderfully natural, my friends have paid me only compliments. I’m just a few days into my new smile and am wearing it with great pride. Thank you to you and all your team” – Daron
